Alzheimer’s Bhangra/Bolly live event
Sunday 10th May 6pm
Alzheimer’s disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. In most people with the disease, those with the late-onset type, symptoms first appear in their mid-60s.
My dear mum who was only 76 when she passed away struggled with this for last couple of years. It’s so heart breaking seeing your mum but your mum not seeing you. Just imagine the person who brought you into this life, sacrificed so much for you, hold your hand suddenly looking at you and not even knowing who you are.
To raise funds to help more research into Alzheimer’s we are going to hold a fantastic, energetic hour of fun. We will do some of most famous Bhangra and Bolly routines to some tracks that will get you all singing and dancing. Simple enough that the whole family can join in. Be a wonderful way to join in with 100’s of others on a Sunday evening.
We will be using Zoom, which if you have used before is a simple way for everyone to be on the same screen. It’s free and you just have to download the app on your phone or access is direct on your laptop. Then you can even connect your phone or laptop to your TV and see yourselves on the big screen just like Bollywood.
We have set the donations to £1, £3 or £5. If you would like to donate more then just get in touch.
We will send you the invitation to the event a day before via email. Just click the event about 5 minutes before the event and get ready to have a great evening.
