I didn't take going to the gym seriously, keeping fit or eating healthy until it came to light that I may need a whole new wardrobe. I decided to do something about it. I got myself a PT who is fantastic at giving nutrition advice, as well as giving me that extra push I needed. I absolutely hated all the cardio machines in the gym. Far from fun and just plain boring but I knew I needed it to burn the calories.
I love Bhangra and I guess it's always been “in my blood”. It's really hard to drag me off a dance floor as the music, especially the sound of the dhol, just keeps you going. It really is a workout in itself and at the end of it, you walk away smiling, having had the time of your life.
BhangraBlaze isn't a dance class but you'll feel like you're at a party anyway. It is a high intensity cardio class (minus the machines) with Bhangra moves fused within it. This is a win/win for me - Bhangra moves + cardio fitness = BhangraBlaze. You really do forget you're exercising whilst increasing your fitness level and burning some serious calories.
