FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the BlazeFit themed fitness workouts?

The BlazeFit themed workouts are exactly that, fitness workouts based around popular themes such as boxing (Rocky) and Spartan (300), as well as fitness workouts based around popular topics like martial arts and yoga. Added to these are fitness workouts based on military, insanity and abs gives your members a refreshing and exciting range of routines. Using relative music as well as encouraging co-ordinated clothing and equipment will add to the enjoyment and involvement.

What should I expect at a BlazeFit class?

As soon as you walk in you will be welcomed by a group of very friendly people and a whole lot of fun. Most of all you will get involved with a workout that will be effective as well as enjoyable. Through experience I know that the majority of people find it difficult to exercise alone and get great results. To go that extra distance and to go out of your comfort zone takes either an incredible amount of discipline or something to take your mind off what you are doing. So, the theme part of the class will definitely take your mind of the intensity of the workout and being around like minded people will make you feel comfortable.

What are the benefits of a BlazeFit fitness workout?

An amazing feel good factor that will leave you smiling. Your co-ordination, strength and overall fitness will improve as the weeks go on. By using core muscle work for the majority of workouts you will not only tone up all around but also strengthen your stomach and back improving your overall posture. As you exercise more and come out of your comfort zone an overall sense of wellbeing will be felt too.

Do I need to be of a certain fitness level to participate in a BlazeFit class?

Absolutely not. Whether you are a total novice or hardened fitness fan, BlazeFit will work for you. The reason for this is that the routine is so well put together that a new starter can take their time and pace their intensity to their comfort level whereas someone with higher fitness levels will be able to increase their intensity and push to and beyond their limits. Also, as the routines are all over a period of approximately 10 weeks the workout will start off at less intensity and more time spent working on correct technique and understanding. As the weeks progress the intensity will increase also meaning that your fitness levels will increase gradually but safely.

What do I need to wear or bring to a BlazeFit class?

T shirt and tracksuits are fine as are comfortable training footwear. Although if you are doing the ‘MILITARY’ workout we tend to ask everyone to wear combat type clothing like green top, camouflaged bottoms etc, but that’s not compulsory. In routines such as BoxerBlaze we will suggest you buy your own gloves and pads although our instructors will always have some. Also bring water and towel as you will find both valuable during the routine.

Can I participate in a BlazeFit class if I have an injury or medical condition?

Depending on your injury or condition will depend on whether it’s advisable. Always speak to the instructor and explain your situation. If there is any doubt then we will suggest you speak to your doctor first. Always complete the health questionnaires that our instructors have.

How is BlazeFit different?

BlazeFit is like no other class in the sense that it has been developed by Kirit Thakore who has over 20 years of fitness experience and trained for many years at the top level of martial arts. It was when he first put together a fitness routine called Shaolin stretch and stamina (Shaolin being a term used in Kung Fu). He used the most effective exercises from his Kung Fu training to put together a workout that was not only for martial artists. It became incredibly popular and the name was soon shortened to SAS (Stretch and Stamina). He found that by having a theme his members were able to go beyond just a normal fitness class. Over the years Kirit has taken a lot of time to research other themes and connected workouts, all of which have been very popular.
